Feliks Dzerzhinskogo Street in Orsha is located in the northwestern part of the city, near the Orsha-Tsentralnaya railway station. The main architectural dominant and landmark of the street is the Orsha-Tsentralnaya station building (No. 8), which greets those arriving in the city. This monumental three-story building in the Soviet neoclassical style was constructed between 1938 and 1947 according to the design of architect N. I. Tumanskaya and has an interesting "island" location among the railway tracks. Nowadays, the street has become a zone of active urban development: according to a project approved in 2024, the construction of a new residential quarter consisting of eleven multi-story buildings (until 2033) is planned here, along with comprehensive improvement of the area including landscaping, sports grounds, and bicycle parking. The implementation of the project will require the demolition of existing private buildings, which will completely transform the appearance of this area of Orsha.
